1. PDF or AI Format with 3cm Bleed on Each Side:
Ensure your design is saved in PDF or AI format, including a 3cm bleed on all sides. This extra space allows for any trimming variations during printing, ensuring your design extends all the way to the edge without any white borders. What is bleed?
2. CMYK Color Mode:
Output for the CMYK color mode instead of RGB. CMYK is the standard color mode for printing, and using it ensures accurate color reproduction and consistency across different printing processes. Convert your design to CMYK to achieve the desired color output in print.
3. Vector Graphics or High Resolution (300 DPI):
Design your artwork using vector graphics whenever possible, or make sure to use high-resolution images with a minimum of 300 DPI (dots per inch). This ensures sharp and clear visuals, especially when printing in larger sizes. Avoid low-resolution or pixelated graphics to maintain the quality of your design.
4. Create Outlines for Fonts:
To prevent any potential font compatibility issues, convert your text to outlines or curves. This ensures that the text retains its intended appearance even if the fonts used are not available on different computer systems. By creating outlines, you eliminate the risk of font substitutions or errors when sharing the design files.
